Topics CoveredMusic students will continue to develop the following skills:
* Develop instrumental/vocal performance skills, both as a soloist and as a member of a group.
* Develop all-round musicianship; training the ear to recognise and analyse musical features and elements as well as improving individual ability to read, write and analyse notation from a variety of scores.
* Develop composing skills by using notation application programmes and/or digital audio work stations (DAW) to create three substantial compositions individually or in groups up to five students.
* Develop arranging skills: use notation application software to create two arrangements for ensembles.
* Research and analyse music from a range of sound environments, styles and genres, in relation to historical, social, and cultural context, considering the impact on music making and production.
At this level, the student can choose either a Practical Music strand or Music Studies. However, it is highly likely that the student will follow a course which combines standards from both strands. The programme can be designed to suit the strengths of the student and be of an individual nature. Level 3 Music courses can consist of approximately 24 credits.

This course invites students to embark on a journey that deepens their understanding of music as performers, creators, and consumers.
