Topics CoveredNot only will the course involve physical learning, it will also develop students' literacy skills through forma written responses of their own dances and other performances, and research and readings about dance. Students will grow their dance vocabulary and knowledge.
Through the course, students will also develop life skills of:
* Problem solving * Social and cognitive skills
* The ability to work with a group * Leadership
* Communication * Self confidence and perseverance
* Self-management, discipline and self-reliance
The course may include:
* Opportunities to devise original choregraphy
* Exploration of different styles of dance
* Solo and ensemble dance work
* Develop stage presences and performance skills

Year 10 Dance
The Year 10 Dance course will provide an opportunity for physical learning. The subject will encourage students to think creatively, take risks and give them the opportunity to grow in confidence and feel empowered when performing. Students will develop their awareness of their bodies and how they can move. They will also grow their ability to express their feelings and tell stories through movement in a safe social environment. Participation in Dance can help improve physical health and fitness, balance, co-ordination and posture.
